Former PM Fed-Up with iPhone 15

PHNOM PENH: Former Prime Minister Hun Sen has been relatively quiet on his social media since leaving office in late August. Yesterday, however, he headed to Telegram not to guide political policy, but to give a review of the latest iPhone model, which the 71-year-old finds difficult to use.

“For people using iPhone!” began the message. The former PM went on to note that he has been an avid iPhone user and was grateful for the device’s help work-related matters. Having bought four new iPhone 15s, which cost well over $1,000, he bemoaned the changes made to the new operating system. “What I notice is that a newly released iPhone 15 is the most difficult phone to use,” he wrote.

The iPhone 15 debuted in September with a redesigned home screen and the repositioning and new functions of certain features within the apps. The main complaint lodged against the new phone is that it overheats during its fast-charge process. That does not seem to be the issue for the former PM, however, who declared he would be switching back to a previous iPhone model. “I will return to use iPhone 14 iPhone 13 iPhone 12,” he wrote.

He finished his message with a warning to anyone thinking about buying the new model. “I just want to tell those who have not used iPhone15, please hold if you do not want to suffer like me,” he wrote.

Many tech bloggers warn against buying the first run of new technology so that the company has time to fix any issues found after its release. Those fortunate enough to own a new product upon its release are generally the test subjects for new designs and features, which many users can find frustrating.
